Audacy Rhythmic AC “Star 94” WSTR Smyrna/Atlanta has claimed the position of the home for Christmas music in the market.
WSTR takes the position that had been held in the market by Salem’s former Christian AC “104.7 The Fish” WFSH-FM prior to its sale to K-Love Inc. earlier this year, however WSTR did feature Christmas music on December weekends in 2024. That move enabled it to have a significant month-to-month jump in the Holiday 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings, while WFSH-FM dropped from a frequency record high 10.5 share in Holiday 2023 to a 6.9 share in 2024.
With former WFSH-FM morning hosts Kevin & Taylor now in mornings at WSTR, the station made the move this morning. With Tupac’s “Changes” as the final song before the move to Christmas music, will we see a refreshed musical position on WSTR after the holidays?
