WLUM Homecoming To Feature Tributes To The Station’s History Over Next Two Weeks

FM 102.1 WLUM MilwaukeeAs the Milwaukee Radio Alliance prepares to sell its two FMs to K-Love Inc., Alternative “FM 102.1” WLUM will begin a series of themed “Homecoming” events running through the end of the month.

The event will start with the station turning back the clock to its Dance CHR “Hot 102” identity from the late 1980s on Wednesday, September 19 from 9am to 5pm. Former staffers from the time period will make on-air appearances including Frosty Stillwell, Dana Lundon and Gregg Cassidy.

Thursday, September 20 will feature a return to the station’s “New Rock 102.1” brand from the late 1990s. Other themed days will include “No Red Hot Chili Peppers” on the 22nd followed by “Only Red Hot Chili Peppers” on Tuesday the 23rd. The remainder of next week will highlight WLUM’s specialty shows with days dedicated to “Retro Brunch”, “Indie Soundcheck”, and “MKE Music Day”. Monday, September 29 will feature the return of former morning host Jonathan Adler and the 30th will be a “Playlist Party”.
