For the second time this year, Total Media Group debuted a new format on WIRO Ironton OH.
After closing on its acquisition of the station from KW Ministries in December 2024, WIRO began stunting with Christmas music as “Ho Ho Radio“. That would lead into the launch of Classic Country “107.1 Hank-FM” on January 6.
When WIRO completed its frequency change to 106.7 and move from the Huntington WV/Ashland KY market into the Portsmouth OH area earlier this summer, it did so with a flip to Conservative Talk as “106.7 The Eagle“. The station will feature the company’s “Tom Roten Morning Show” that also airs on Total Media’s “100.1 The Eagle” WXZQ Waverly OH and “1030/94.1 The Eagle” WTHQ/W231CY Point Pleasant WV.
