
Mid-Shore Community Radio Inc. has launched Public News/Talk 90.3 WFHW Cambridge/Easton MD.
After receiving its CP from the Harriet Tubman Museum and Education Center this summer, the new station is being operated as a partnership between the two parties with the call letters standing for “Find Harriet Within.” Mid-Shore, which operates as “Radio Chesapeake”, also owns Community/AAA 91.7 WHCP-FM Trappe/Cambridge.
Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center Director Linda Harris will host a daily talk show airing from 2-3pm on WHCP and 8-9pm on WFHW. Other programs on the new station will include “Shore Stories w/ Val Cavalheri” at 9am and 6:30pm, “Mid-Shore Mid-Day” hosted by Station Manager Amanda Tilghman from 1-2pm, and national programming including Morning Edition, 1A, Here & Now, All Things Considered, and Marketplace.
