Civic Media has moved another one of its Liberal Talk stations to a music format.
1320 WFHR/97.5 W248DE Wisconsin Rapids WI flipped on Monday to a 1960s/1970s based music format that is positioning as “Local News and Timeless Hits” as the station will continue to feature CBS News at the top of the hour and additional local news coverage. The station will also continue to air Civic Media’s statewide “Nite Lite with Pete Schwaba” from 6-8pm.
Chief Operating Officer Kory Hartman said, “WFHR has always been about serving and informing the community, and we will continue that mission for years to come. We’re combining the news and information that people need with the timeless music they love. It’s the best of both worlds.”
The flip of WFHR follows similar moves to Oldies at Civic Media’s WRJN Racine in May 2024 and WGBW Green Bay in August 2025. The company flipped 1260 WLAK/107.5 W298DK Amery WI to a simulcast of Country 95.7 WSCM Baldwin earlier this month.
