Alpha Media Classic Alternative “95.9 The River” WERV Aurora IL has announced the addition of Joey Domenick as afternoon host and production assistant starting August 1.
Domenick joins the station from Cumulus Chicago where he was a producer and hosted weekends on Alternative “Q101” WKQX. He takes the afternoon slot that had been held by Nick Jakusz, who is exiting to take a position at a local school district. Jakusz had been with the cluster in multiple roles since 2011.
Domenick said, “I hope I can put a smile on a listener’s faces or make them laugh, whether it’s with me or at me. I’m here for it all. I’m excited to have some fun and make some memories”.
Alpha Media Chicago Market Manager Karl Wertzler commented, “Joey was recommended by a number of highly respected programmers and I was immediately impressed during the interview process.”
