WBAA To Move News/Talk & Classical Stations

920 WBAA 101.3 WBAA-FM Lafayette Purdue UniversityMetropolitan Indianapolis Public Media Inc. is shuffling programming at its two signals in Lafayette IN on Monday, November 3.

The Public News/Talk programming currently heard on 920 WBAA West Lafayette/105.9 W290CM Lafayette will now be heard on 920 and 101.3 WBAA-FM West Lafayette. The Classical programming currently heard on WBAA-FM will move to W290CM fed by 101.3 WBAA-HD2. Jazz programming moves from WBAA-HD2 to HD3.

The station says, “WBAA is switching frequencies to offer an improved listening experience. This change will help us better serve our largest audiences by expanding our reach, improving signal quality and maintaining the programming our listeners value.”

As part of the changes, the News/Talk station will add additional weekend programming including Code Switch, Life Kit, Kelly Corrigan Wonders and This Old House Radio Hour. The Classical station will move to an all-music lineup dropping its simulcasts of Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Marketplace.
