
After seven years at Audacy, Vince Richards is exiting the company from his roles as VP/Rock Programming & KJKK/KSPF/KVIL Dallas Director of Programming & Operations at the end of the month.
Richards joined Audacy in January 2018 as Operations Manager for the company’s Sacramento cluster. He moved to Dallas in 2020 to program Variety Hits “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK in October 2020 and then adding roles as corporate VP/Rock Programing and overseeing Classic Hits “98.7 The Spot” KSPF and Alternative “Alt 103.7” KVIL in Dallas while giving up day-to-day programming of KJKK to JT Springer. He previously served as National Operations Manager for Townsquare Media from 2013 to 2016 and has served as Operations Manager for Clear Channel’s clusters in Dallas and Houston and Entercom Kansas City. Richards has also worked in Buffalo, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Springfield IL, and St. Louis during his career.
Audacy Dallas SVP/Market Manager Bob Mackay shared in a memo, “For the last eight years, Vince Richards has been a pivotal force at Audacy, managing our operations and music stations here in Dallas, our two Rock stations in Sacramento and, for the last four years, leading our Rock strategy as Format VP. At the end of this month, Vince will be leaving Audacy to explore other opportunities. We are working closely with Vince and leadership to ensure a smooth transition for both local and format duties. More specific details will be provided.”
Richards said, “After eight personally and professionally rewarding years at Audacy, I’ll be moving on to my next opportunity. I am incredibly proud of the work I’ve accomplished with our teams here in Dallas and across the country, driving ratings and revenue while connecting with our listeners. I look forward to continuing to build on the legacy I’ve created throughout my career in radio.”
