Verstandig Sets Programming Plans For Hagerstown Shuffle

92.1 Bob Rocks WBHB 101.5 WAYZ 104.7 Hagerstown ChambersburgAs Verstandig Broadcasting prepares to sell the license of Country 104.7 WAYZ Hagerstown MD to Peter and John Ministries’ Brighter Media Group for $3.1 million, the company has set its plans for its remaining frequencies.

The changes will start on September 1 when the company’s two Sports stations combine. “92.1 The Goat” WIKG Mercersburg PA and “Fox Sports 100.9” 1380 WLIN/100.9 W265DU Waynesboro PA will combine as “100.9 The Goat” WIKG. That will allow 92.1 to become the new home of Rock “101.5 Bob Rocks” WBHB-FM Waynesboro. The Rock format will simulcast on both frequencies until September 15.

On that day, phase two of the transition will start as WAYZ will begin simulcasting on 101.5. That will last through October 1 at which time the call letters will complete its transition back the the frequency it called home from 1959 until 2000. October 1 will also be when 104.7 begins simulcasting Christian AC “95.1 Bright-FM” WRBS-FM Baltimore/103.1 WRHS Grasonville MD.
