Cumulus Media Country “Kat Country 103” KATM Modesto CA is adding former syndicated morning host Tony Randall to its lineup starting Monday, December 1.
Randall, formerly half of the “Tony & Kris” morning show with Kris Rochester, will take over afternoons at KATM. The duo debuted together in 1991 at WHMA Anniston AL and moved to KSON San Diego the following year. After a stint at 95.7 KUSS San Diego, they hosted a Nashville based syndicated morning show from 2009 until 2017 before spending five years in mornings at Cumulus’ 107.7 WIVK Knoxville until June 2022.
Randall commented, “My Country radio career has been full of highs and lows. Getting the opportunity to join the incredible team at Kat Country definitely falls into the ‘highs’ category. I’m beyond excited to rejoin the Cumulus family and return to California! And I’m so grateful to Andy Winford I’m going to buy him that pony he’s been wanting.”
KATM Program Director Andy Winford stated, “It’s a real win for Kat Country to have someone with Tony’s experience and skill on board and I can’t wait to work with him!”
Randall takes the afternoon timeslot that had been held by Toni Marie until her departure in September to relocate to Texas.
