Audacy has announced the appointment of Tommy Castor to SVP/Market Manager of its Wichita KS cluster.
Castor will continue to serve as VP/Sales for the cluster and co-host of the “Sports Daily” morning show on 1240 KFH/97.5 K248CY as well as he takes the market leadership position that had been held by Becky Domyan. Domyan had been running Wichita from her base in St. Louis since 2022, where she continues to lead that cluster for Audacy. He will now oversee a cluster that includes KFH, Rhythmic CHR “Power 93.5” KDGS, Classic Hits 103.7 KEYN, Hot AC “105.3 The Buzz” KFBZ, and News/Talk 1330 KNSS/98.7 KNSS-FM.
Castor joined Audacy Wichita in August 2022 as host of Sports Daily and took on the VP/Sales role at the start of 2024. He previously served as as VP/Ticket Sales & Marketing for the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder after previously serving as Program Director of iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 96.3” KZCH Derby/Wichita, GM/PD of Rocking M Media’s Wellington KS stations, and COO of Allied Media Partners and their failed attempt to acquire Rocking M’s six station cluster.
Castor commented, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role with Audacy and our incredible brands and people in Wichita. I look forward to our continued success and am excited to take on these added responsibilities as we achieve our goals. My thanks to Brian Purdy and Becky Domyan for their leadership and their faith in me.”
Audacy Regional President Brian Purdy added, “Tommy has a proven track record of success and a deep connection to this market, and we couldn’t be happier to have him take the reins to lead Audacy Wichita forward. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Becky for her leadership and impactful work in Wichita. We are thankful for the strong foundation she leaves behind and are confident Tommy will build upon that success.”
Domyan stated, “It has been an amazing experience running the Wichita market, and I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished for the community. I’m delighted for Tommy as he takes on this leadership role and excited to now focus 100% on our efforts in St. Louis.”
