
Along with the arrival of ‘Marissa on the Radio’ for middays, Pamal Broadcasting Country “100.9/107.1 The Cat” WKLI-FM Albany/WKBE Corinth NY
will bring Jamie ‘Tanch’ Tanchyk to the market to track nights from 10pm to 2am starting Monday, September 29.
He will continue to host middays at Connoisseur Media Country “98.7 The Bull” KUPL Portland OR as ‘JT’, a role he took on in July.
Tanchyk began his career in Albany with stints at Pamal’s Rhythmic “Jamz 96.3” WAJZ as night host and APD/nights at CHR “Fly 92” WFLY. He then moved back to WAJZ as Program Director and would also program AAA “104.9 The Peak” WZMR, 90s Hits “105.7 Crush-FM” WQSH and Hip Hop “Hot 99.1” WQSH-HD2 during his time in the market, while also hosting weekends at CHR “103.3 Amp Radio” WODS Boston until mo ing to the west coast in 2014 as APD/midday host at Audacy Rhythmic Hot AC “Hot 103.7” KHTP Seattle then moving to Portland as Brand Manager for Audacy’s then Hot AC “105.1 The Buzz” turned “Bella 105” KRSK and afternoon host on Country “99.5 The Wolf” KWJJ until exiting in the company’s March layoffs.
Tanchyk said, “Kevin Callahan shared his strategic vision for The Cat’s talent line-up and I knew I had to be a part of it. I’m excited to share that I’m stepping into the prestigious role of the Capital Region’s ringleader of good times and bad decisions, weeknights from 10p-2a. The full WKLI/WKBE lineup will continue to feature Sean and Andrea McMaster in mornings and Pete Kelly in afternoons. Marissa takes over middays, with Dana Race sliding from their to nights from 7-10pm.
