Shawn Tempesta Moves To KKLZ; Aimee Thomas & Shawn Stevens To Host Mornings At KCYE

Shawn Tempesta 96.3 KKLZ 102.7 VGS Mix 94.1 Las VegasAlong with its announced frequency swap, Beasley Media Group has made morning show changes at its Las Vegas cluster.

The morning show hosted by Shawn Tempesta and Aimee Thomas on Hot AC “102.7 VGS” KVGS will come to an end on Wednesday, November 12 ahead of the frequency swap. Tempesta will then move down the hall to Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ to join incumbent Carla Rea for “The KKLZ Morning Show with Carla and Shawn” starting Monday, November 17. Thomas will stay on 102.7 in mornings as it becomes “102.7 Coyote Country” joining Program Director Shawn Stevens.

Tempesta joined Beasley when KVGS launched in June 2022, following a ten year run at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB as APD/afternoon host. He previously worked at KMXB in 2006-07, and also co-hosted KTNV-TV Las Vegas’ “The Morning Blend” from 2010-22 and tracked middays at Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX Boston from 2020 until exiting the company at the end of 2021.

Aimee Thomas 102.7 Coyote Country VGS Las VegasThomas has been part of the Beasley Las Vegas cluster since 2015 spending time at Hot AC “Star 107.9” KVGS, AC “Lite 101.5” K268CS, and on “Coyote Country” in its previous run on 102.7. Stevens has been with KCYE since 2017 and moves back to mornings from afternoons. He previously spent two decades in Salt Lake City at KUBL, KBEE and KKAT-FM and has also worked at KXKL/KZDG Denver, KXRX Seattle, and WRTH St. Louis.
