After announcing the $435,000 sale of “Your Country 99.3” WCLC Van Buren and CHR “Star 106.9” WXXC Marion IN to Taylor University Broadcasting last month, Hoosier AM/FM has signed off Sports 860 WMRI and Oldies 1400 WBAT/105.5 W288DN Marion.
In a Silent STA filed with the FCC, the company notes that both stations have ceased operations following the loss of its studio lease. Hoosier AM/FM says it is exploring options for the stations to resume operations.
Hoosier AM/FM principles Bruce Danziger, Burton Barlow and Keith Thomas also own three stations in Kokomo IN, where a sale to 3 Towers Broadcasting was announced in July 2024, but never filed with the FCC. 3 Towers is operating AC “Z92.5” WZWZ Kokomo and “Rock 98.5” WMYK Peru under a Time Brokerage Agreement, while 1350 WIOU Kokomo is silent. They also own Vox AM/FM, which owns five stations in the Burlington VT/Plattsburgh NY area.
