John Catsimatidis’ Red Apple Media is purchasing Spanish Christian 1370 WLID Patchogue and translators 95.7 W239CY Patchogue (with CP to relocate to 95.9 Brentwood) and 107.1 W296EK Brentwood NY from Cantico Nuevo Ministry for $500,000.
Red Apple Media owns Conservative Talk 770 WABC New York and simulcasters 107.1 WLIR-FM Hampton Bays and 1700 WRCR Haverstraw NY. It will take over WLID via LMA ahead of closing. As part of the deal, W239CY must vacate its current tower by Monday, December 1. Red Apple Media will also enter into a lease agreement with Cantico Nuevo Ministry for WLID’s towers, which also houses its 1580 WNYG.
Cantico Nuevo Ministry retains multiple signals in suburban New York including 1530 WJDM Mineola and 1580 WNYG Patchogue/96.5 W243ES Medford on Long Island, which operate its Spanish Christian network “Radio Cantico Nuevo“.
