Over Two Dozen Stations Make The Move To Christmas Music As Holiday Season Begins

107.3 WSJY Fort AtkinsonThe holiday season has begun en-masse. With the calendar turning over to November, over two dozen stations have begun playing Christmas music.

Louisville KY has become the first market to gain two stations with Christmas music as both Connoisseur Media Soft AC “102.3 The Rose” WXMA and SummitMedia AC “Mix 106.9” WVEZ both made the move on Saturday.

One station so-far sticks out as a possibility to watch after the holidays as Times-Shamrock Classic Hits “92 Mix-FM” WQFM Nanticoke/Wilkes-Barre PA made the move on Saturday after not doing in 2024 following its format launch that Summer.

North of the border, Golden West Broadcasting’s “Mix 107.9” CKFT-FM Fort Saskatchewan/Edmonton AB became the first station in Canada to make the move on Halloween.

While we are not tracking every station that goes all-Christmas as most have now done so regularly for decades, we are overseeing this list at our sister site RadioDiscussions.com. We will be monitoring those stations that we expect new formats after Christmas such as 103.1 KLO-FM in the Salt Lake City market in our annual Post Christmas Format Change Watchlist coming later this month.
