November 2025 (10/16 – 11/12) Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings Day 1: WMMR Soars Following Robert’s Passing

 

 

Nielsen begins its monthly release of PPM ratings with Day 1 markets New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Long Island, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Jose, and Middlesex/Somerset/Union.

New York

1010 WINS All News 92.3 WINS-FM New YorkiHeartMedia AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW holds at a 7.4 share. Audacy News 1010 WINS/92.3 WINS-FM climbs 5.9 – 6.4 – 6.8 ahead of the mayoral election for the highest share for WINS since 1969. iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” WHTZ is off 5.9 to 5.8. Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM rises 4.8 – 5.0 – 5.6. SBS Spanish Tropical “Mega 97.9” WSKQ dips 5.2 to 5.0, while its stream rises 0.9 to 1.4 to tie for fifth with Red Apple Media Conservative Talk 770 WABC as it gains 4.2 to 5.0 to match the highest share for its 43 year old Talk format set in October 2024.

Public News/Talk 93.9 WNYC-FM rises 3.9 – 4.2 – 4.5. Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM dips 3.5 to 3.0 with its stream down 1.0 to 0.8.

MediaCo Hip Hop “Hot 97” WQHT continues its gain 3.2 – 3.9 – 4.3 which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is its best share since Fall 2005, while sister Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS is down 4.7 to 4.1. iHeart’s “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM dips 3.3 to 3.1. Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “94.7 The Block” WXBK falls 2.2 – 1.7 – 1.2.

Jazz 88.3 WBGO continues to see its stream outrank its broadcast signal as the FM holds at a 0.5 share, while the stream dips 0.9 to 0.7.

Los Angeles

AM 570 LA Sports KLAC Los AngelesAfter its record high last month, Audacy Classic Hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH drops 8.3 to 7.0. iHeartMedia AC 103.5 KOST rises 5.7 to 6.5. iHeart Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG holds at a 4.9 share. Audacy Rhythmic AC “94.7 The Wave” KTWV is up 4.2 to 4.6. iHeart CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM holds at a 4.0 share.

iHeartMedia’s “AM 570 Sports” KLAC rides the Dodgers’ World Series run to a 1.7 – 2.2 – 2.7 gain, which is off from the station’s 3.0 share in November 2024.

Chicago

101.9 The Mix WTMX Skokie Chicago Eric FergusonWith its early move to Christmas Music on November 1, iHeartMedia AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT jumps up 4.9 to 6.0. Three stations tie for second with gains: Hubbard Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX rises 4.0 to 5.1 for its best share since November 2020. Audacy AAA 93.1 WXRT is up 4.6 to 5.1. Audacy News 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS gains 4.4 to 5.1. Audacy Country “US 99” WUSN rises 3.7 – 4.2 – 4.8 to place fifth.

Nexstar Talk 720 WGN swings 4.3 – 3.6 – 4.4. Audacy Sports “670 The Score” WSCR drops 4.0 to 2.7.

iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V103” WVAZ slides 4.1 – 3.8 – 3.4 for what Huff notes is its lowest share since Spring 1994. iHeart CHR “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC drops 3.7 to 3.0. Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “104.3 Jams” WBMX slides 2.6 – 2.3 – 1.9

Cumulus Alternative “Q101” WKQX inches up 2.7 – 2.9 – 3.1. iHeartMedia Rock “Rock 95.5” WCHI-FM drops 2.8 to 2.1.

Dallas/Fort Worth

Alt 103.7 KVIL DallasCumulus Media takes the top three spots. Sports “The Ticket” 1310 KTCK/96.7 KTCK-FM rises 5.3 to 6.4. Country “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX dips 5.4 to 5.1, while “New Country 96.3” KSCS is up 4.6 to 5.0. iHeartMedia AC “Star 102.1” KDGE is off 4.9 to 4.8. iHeart Hot AC “Mix 102.9” KDMX slides 7.0 – 4.8 – 4.4 to tie for fifth with Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 94.1” KLNO as it rises 3.7 to 4.4.

Audacy Alternative “Alt 103.7” KVIL climbs 2.7 – 3.6 – 3.9 for the highest share on the frequency since August 2013, while sister Variety Hits “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK slides 4.6 – 4.3 – 3.9 and Regional Mexican “La Grande 107.5” KMVK is down 4.0 – 3.7 – 3.4.

iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS-FM slips 4.2 to 3.6.

Christian AC “K-Love” 94.9 KLTY rebounds 2.0 to 3.0. 90.9 KCBI-FM is down 2.9 to 2.3 and “Way-FM” 89.7 KAWA dips 1.4 to 1.0.

Radio One Country “93Q” KKBQ trends up 5.1 – 5.7 – 6.0. Cumulus CHR 104.1 KRBE holds at a 5.3 share. Radio One Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT is down 5.7 to 4.9.

iHeartMedia Rock/Alternative “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ-FM drops 5.2 to 4.6. Hip Hop “93.7 The Beat” KQBT slides 4.0 – 3.7 – 3.3.

Audacy Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH climbs 3.4 – 3.8 – 4.1. Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM rises 3.0 – 3.2 – 3.7. Spanish CHR “Mega 101” KLOL falls 2.5 to 1.8.

SBS Regional Mexican “La Ley 92.1” KROI jumps up 2.6 to 4.0 for a new record high on the signal.

Hope Media Group Christian AC 89.3 KSBJ falls for the fifth straight month 7.1 – 6.9 – 6.3 – 5.8 – 5.2 – 4.0. Hope Media Group Spanish Christian “Vida Unida” 91.7 KHVU swings 1.4 – 2.0 – 1.3.

Jazz “90.9 The Choice” KTSU rises 0.9 to 1.5.

San Francisco

88.5 KQED San Francisco JosePublic News/Talk 88.5 KQED-FM expands its lead up 8.8 to 9.3. Audacy News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC drops 8.7 to 8.1. Classical 90.3 KDFC is down 5.7 to 5.1. Bonneville AC 96.5 KOIT is off 4.8 to 4.7, while iHeartMedia Soft AC “98.1 The Breeze” KISQ holds at a 4.6 share.

Bonneville CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ rises 3.7 to 4.3. iHeart’s “Wild 94.9” KYLD climbs 2.5 – 2.8 – 3.3 for its best share since April 2023. Audacy Hot AC “Alice 97.3” KLLC is up 3.4 to 3.9.

iHeartMedia Hip Hop 106.1 KMEL slides 3.1 – 2.8 – 2.4 for its lowest share since May 2021.

With the start of the NBA season and end of MLB, the two Sports stations move in opposite directions. Audacy’s Warriors led “95.7 The Game” KGMZ rises 1.2 – 1.6 – 2.0. Cumulus’ Giants and NFL 49ers fronted 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM slides 2.7 – 2.1 – 1.9.

 

 

Atlanta

92.9 The Game WZGC AtlantaCox Media Group News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB rises 7.7 to 8.5. It is followed by co-owned AC “B98.5” WSB-FM as it holds at a 6.8 share and Adult R&B “Kiss 104.1” WALR which drops 7.3 to 6.5. Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 107.5/97.5” WAMJ/WUMJ is up 5.0 to 6.2. Cox Classic Rock “97.1 The River” WSRV is down for the fifth straight month 5.9 to 5.6, which ties for fifth with Audacy Hip Hop/R&B “V103” WVEE as it is down 6.1 to 5.6.

Audacy Sports “92.9 The Game” WZGC continues its climb 2.2 – 2.7 – 3.4 – 3.9 – 4.5 for its best share since January 2020. Public News/Talk 90.1 WABE rises 3.0 to 3.6.

Contemporary Worship “Air 1” 104.7 WAIA rises 2.5 – 3.7 – 4.2. Christian AC “K-Love” 106.7 WAKL dips 4.7 – 3.2 – 3.1.

Following the end of The Bert Show, Cumulus CHR “Q99.7” WWWQ dips 4.2 to 4.0. Audacy Rhythmic AC “Star 94” WSTR is up 3.3 to 3.6.

iHeartMedia Hip Hop “96.1 The Beat” WRDG falls 4.2 – 3.9 – 3.1. Radio One Gospel “Praise 97.5” WPZE drops 3.7 – 3.5 – 3.0.

Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP falls 9.2 to 6.6 (stream down 3.2 to 2.5) with the end of the Phillies playoff run. iHeartMedia Adult R&B 105.3 WDAS-FM holds at a 5.4 share. Audacy AC “B101” WBEB is down 5.6 to 5.0.

Audacy News 1060 KYW/103.9 WPHI is up 4.4 to 4.9 with its stream rising 0.9 to 1.5.

Christian AC “K-Love” 106.9 WKVP climbs 3.6 to 4.4 for its best share since February 2023.

AAA 88.5 WXPN slides 4.4 – 3.8 – 3.3. iHeartMedia CHR “Q102” WIOQ is up 2.8 to 3.2.

Three stations tie for fourth: Cox CHR 106.1 WBLI (4.1 to 4.2), Audacy Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM (4.3 to 4.2), and iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q104.3” WAXQ (4.7 to 4.2).

Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM falls 5.6 to 4.1 following the end of the Yankees playoff run.
