More Sports Radio Changes Across Wisconsin

Inside Wisconsin Sports Radio NetworkThe fallout from iHeartMedia’s flip of “97.3 The Game” WRNW Milwaukee to AC “B97.3” on Monday has been heard across the state.

With WRNW’s flip, the remaining on-air staff will continue to be heard on “1070 The Game” WTSO Madison and 973TheGame.com. Some shows also will be heard on “98.7 The Fan” 1400 WBIZ/98.7 W254CN Eau Claire, which also carries some shows from sister “100.3 KFAN” KFXN-FM Minneapolis. The new “Game” lineup includes Bill Schmid and Armen Saryan in mornings from 6-10am, Doug Russell and Nick Bruesewitz from 10am-2pm, and Drew Olson and Kevin ‘KB’ Brandt remaining in afternoons from 2-6pm.

Northpine reports that the Game programming has been dropped from Midwest Communications’ stations in Green Bay, Wausau, and Duluth MN. The company is now running the programming from Inside Wisconsin and Audacy’s new “Wisconsin Sports Radio Network” featuring the lineup of Audacy’s “105.7 The Fan” 1250 WSSP/105.7 W289CB Milwaukee that debuted last month.

Midwest’s newly expanded 1440 WNFL/101.9 W270AJ Green Bay and 99.7 WDKF Sturgeon Bay, Wausau market “93.9 The Game” 1390 WRIG Schofield/93.9 W230BU Rothschild, and “710 The Game” WDSM Superior WI/Duluth MN will carry WSSP’s new lineup of “Inside Wisconsin Sports” with Trevor Thomas and Josh Albrecht from 6-9am, “Nine2Noon with Kuhn” featuring John Kuhn and Ramie Makhlouf from 9am-12pm, Mason Crosby and Mitch ‘Thunder’ Nelles from 12-2pm, and “Wisconsin Sports Daily” with Steve ‘Sparky’ Fifer from 2-5pm.
