Bluewater Broadcasting flipped Rhythmic Throwbacks “Yo 100.5” W263BX/WQKS-HD2 Montgomery AL to Hip Hop “Streamz 100“.
Positioning as “Powered By What You Play”, the station is emphasizing music charting on the streaming charts. The new format targets former sister “97.9 Jamz” WJWZ, which was sold to Autaugaville Radio in August and iHeartMedia’s “Hot 105.7” WZHT.
The new on-air lineup will feature Compass Media Networks’ DeDe In The Morning replacing Reach Media’s Rickey Smiley. Foster ‘DJ Frosty’ Phillips joins the station to host middays. He most recently was at SummitMedia’s “95.7 Jamz” WBHJ Birmingham. Program Director Dwayne ‘DJ Fresh’ Foxx moves from middays to afternoons. Fox previously also programmed WJWZ.
