MediaCo To Launch Hot 97 & WBLS On HD Subchannels In Dallas, Houston & Los Angeles

Hot 97 97.1 WQHT New York MediaCoMediaCo has announced it will launch simulcasts of Hip Hop “Hot 97” WQHT and Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS New York on HD Radio subchannels of its stations in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Riverside CA on December 1.

The company has not specified what frequencies the simulcasts will air on. MediaCo operates multiple signals in each of the markets including rimshots 93.7 KNOR, 98.3 KBOC, and 106.7 KZZA in the Dallas market, 98.5 KTJM, 101.7 KNTE, and 107.9 KQQK in the Houston market, trimulcast 94.3 KBUA, 94.3 KEBN, and 105.5 KBUE in Los Angeles, and 96.1 KRQB in Riverside.

The company states, “This exciting expansion marks a major step in MediaCo’s mission to connect multicultural audiences nationwide through music, entertainment, and culture. Listeners in these cities will now have 24/7 access to the best in Hip Hop, R&B, and Urban culture, featuring exclusive interviews, live performances, lifestyle programming, and local community content that celebrates the artists and voices shaping today’s culture.”
