Connoisseur Media has announced market leadership changes in San Antonio to take place at the end of the year as Market Manager Lance Hawkins prepares to retire.
Hawkins, who has led the cluster since 2009 through Border Media, Alpha Media and now Connoisseur ownership, will be succeeded by current Director of Sales Morgan Harrison, while Integrated Sales and Sports Programming Manager Dax Davis will rise to Director of Sales, while continuing to program “94.1 The Sports Star” KTFM and “ESPN 1250” KZDC.
Hawkins stated, “Morgan and Dax have consistently shown that they are the right choices to take the San Antonio operation into the future.”
Connoisseur CEO Jeff Warshaw added, “This is a big moment for our San Antonio team. That market is a vital part of our company, and Morgan and Dax have earned these roles through their hard work and passion for the business. We’re excited to see them lead the next chapter.”
Harrison has served as Director of Sales since 2020 after spending a decade as Senior Integrated Media Specialist for Cox Media Group’s cluster. She stated, “I am incredibly honored and humbled to step into the role of Market Manager. I’m grateful to Jeff Warshaw for believing in me to help share his incredible vision, and to Lance Hawkins for his guidance and trust in me to fill the big shoes he leaves behind as he heads into retirement. Radio has always been about the 3C’s that Connoisseur Media boldly represents in Clients, Community, and Colleagues, and I’m excited to build on a great mission with those at the forefront, along with my colleague, Dax Davis.”
Davis joined the cluster earlier this year after a decade as Director of Sales and Sports Content for Alpha Media Palm Springs. He also has spent eleven years as PD of Cumulus Media’s “98.1 The Sports Animal” WWLS-FM Tulsa and previously worked in the now Connoisseur cluster as MD/midday host on CHR 102.7 KTFM in 2002-03 and APD for News/Talk 550 KTSA in 2003-04 for CBS Radio. He added, “It’s an honor to serve our talented and dedicated team of marketing professionals here in San Antonio. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead alongside our incoming Market Manager, Morgan Harrison, and to work with the entire San Antonio team as we continue to build lasting client and community relationships while growing our revenue share.”
