Tim Johnstone has exited Lotus Communications AAA “94.9 The River” KRVB Boise after a 30 year run with the cluster as part of a round of budget cuts across the company.
Johnstone originally joined the cluster in 1995 to launch Alternative “100.3 The X” KQXR in 1995. He would move to KRVB in 2000 and went full-time in 2004 spending time Music Director/morning co-host and serving as Program Director since 2012. He began his radio career at KBSU Boise while attending Boise State University and held Regional Promotion Director roles for Virgin Records in the early 1990s.
We have heard of cuts at other Lotus clusters as well this week but no specifics yet.
