Beasley Media Sports “97.5 The Fanatic” WPEN-FM Burlington NJ/Philadelphia has announced the return of John Marks to the station to host middays.
Marks previously worked at the station from 2006 to 2016 rising from a producer on then “ESPN 950” WPEN in mornings and then the Mike Missanelli Show. He later spent time co-hosting multiple morning shows at the station. He then spent six years at Audacy Sports 94.1 WIP Philadelphia first hosting nights and then afternoons before resigning in late 2023. Marks most recently had been hosting podcasts for PHLY.
“Jon Marks is a proven leader and a trusted voice in Philadelphia sports,” said Paul Blake, Vice President and Market Manager of Beasley Media Group Philadelphia. “His credibility, passion, and connection with our audience will be instrumental in driving The Fanatic’s continued growth and success in the market.”
“We are thrilled to have Jon Marks take over middays at The Fanatic,” said Scott Masteller, Program Director. “Jon’s talent, credibility, and connection with Philadelphia sports fans are second to none. His energy and insight make him the perfect fit to lead our midday lineup.”
“I’m beyond excited for this opportunity,” said Jon Marks. “Philadelphia is the best sports city in the country, and the fans here are as passionate as they come. To be able to talk sports with them every day in this new time slot is an honor, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy and passion to middays on The Fanatic.”
Marks fills the opening in middays created by Missanelli’s during Beasley’s August layoffs.
