Former All Access publisher Joel Denver and former Triton Digital co-founder and COO Mike Agovino have launched AI-driven syndication company SonicTrek.ai.
The company intends to use Futuri’s proprietary AI to mix AI-infused audio content for brands with “top-tier voice talent, curated musical selections, and dynamic writing”.
The product is launching with four formats each programmed by a well-known programmer:
- Phoebe.fm is described as a female-leaning alternative station sculpted by Dennis Constantine and hosted by Phoebe, a captivating virtual with real talent. Constantine is known for building AAA 97.3 KBCO Boulder/Denver and later programming KINK Portland, KFOG San Francisco, and serving as Director of Programming for Live 365 along with consulting many Adult Rock brands.
- MyCountry.fm is “an innovative Country music experience mastered by Charlie Cook with heartfelt storytelling local to your market”. Cook most recently was VP/Programming for Cumulus Media’s Country stations and previously programmed Country stations including WHN New York, KHJ, KLAC and KKGO Los Angeles and was president of both the Academy of Country Music and Country Radio Broadcasters.
- Lee Abrams designed Starship.fm as a “reimagination of Classic Rock with a deep and stellar mix of anthems, deep tracks, and surprises anchored in a cinematic production.” Abrams, the former consultant and developer of the AOR “Superstars” format in the 1970s also was Chief Programming Officer for XM at its launch and Chief Innovation Officer at Tribune Media.
- Former Audacy VP/Top 40 Programming Brian Kelly curates CoolClassics.ai as a “vibrant Classic Hits format delivering your favorite music with a contemporary twist”.
Denver, who will serve as Chief Executive Officer, said, “SonicTrek.ai is about creating authentic, ocalized experiences that resonate with listeners while leveraging the power of AI to deliver unmatched creativity and efficiency. We’re not just building brands; we’re crafting immersive audio worlds.”
Agovino, the Chief Revenue Officer, noted, “SonicTrek delivers on the long-failed promise of localized syndication and conversational AI. It’s real or maybeit isn’t, but it’s here today.”
Futuri CEO Daniel Anstandig followed, “SonicTrek and Futuri technologies are coming together to make it possible for every station to have live and local content in every daypart, based on what audiences care about right now in this moment. Why shouldn’t audiences expect that their local station should be just as current as their social media feed at any moment? Now, Futuri and SonicTrek are making that possible in a plug-and-play format for broadcasters.”
