Vox AM/FM CHR “95 Triple X” WXXX Burlington VT has promoted midday host Isabella ‘Izzy’ Mitchell to Program Director.
Mitchell joined WXXX this summer following her graduation for Emerson College where she also currently serves as Program Coordinator and host at AAA 88.9 WERS Boston and is a podcast operations intern at CNN. She will move to afternoons at WXXX in January 2026.
Mitchell said, “To be trusted with leading the station is an incredible honor. I’m excited to build on what makes 95 Triple X special and keep it a real part of the community—to be the voice Vermonters and New Yorkers hear on their morning carpools, late-night drives, and weekend getaways. I grew up listening to the radio in Vermont, and to be part of that now feels a lot like coming home.”
Vox AM/FM Operations Manager Ted Richards said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Izzy to our management team. I couldn’t be more excited to have one of the brightest young talents joining ’95 Triple X’. The station has a proud history, but I’m confident that Izzy’s winning attitude will keep us connecting with our listeners in new and creative ways. This is an amazing opportunity to bring in the next generation of talented radio leaders–and Izzy is just who we need!”
WERS Brand Manager Ken West added, “We’re incredibly proud of Izzy at WERS and know she’s ready for this incredible opportunity. Her leadership skills, fun personality, and natural ability to connect with audiences will immediately shine through to Triple X staff and listeners.”
Mitchell’s promotion fills the opening created by Kwame Dankwa’s exit last month.
