The “Rob, Anybody & Dawn” morning show heard on Lotus Communications Rock 104.5 KDOT Reno appears to have come to an end.
While host Rob Williams has yet to comment, co-host Dawn Rossi and producer Kyle Halldorson have both alluded to the end of the program, which has been in best-of for the past month despite promoting a return from “Summer Vacation” back on July 7.
Halldorson wrote on the show’s internal social network, “There will be no more best of rad. I haven’t been paid in over a month. I wish everyone the best and wish someone close gets the help they need. You guys are all amazing and I hope you all have a fantastic day and rest of your week.”
Originally “Rob, Arnie & Dawn” until co-host Arnie States departed in 2015, the program itself is owned by Rob Williams’ Williams Broadcasting. After debuting on KDOT in 1996, the show relocated its base to Audacy’s “98 Rock” KRXQ Sacramento in 1999 where it would remain until June 2023 being syndicated back to KDOT and additional markets. Williams would then lease Lotus’ 890 KVMX Olivehurst/104.7 K284CM Sacramento in November 2023 as “RAD Radio“ running the show 24/7. In August 2024 that station would flip to Sports but retain the program in mornings until dropping it in March.
Rossi, who had co-hosted the show since it debuted in 1996, shared a long farewell statement on social media. She started, “Heartbreakingly, after 34 years, 28 of those with the show, I say goodbye to my career in broadcasting.” She continued, “Thank you so much for all the years you listened. It’s hard to express how much it’s meant. You welcomed me in your daily lives and allowed me to share my life with you. It’s a beautiful bond that took place. Thru all the changes, the highs and lows y’all were still there listening..that’s beyond incredible. Please know that I’ve been deeply moved by all your loyalty Thank you thank you thank you!!!!”
