FCC Broadcast License Systems To Reopen On 11/18

FCC Seal 2020 Federal Communications CommissionAs the federal government continues to resume normal operations following the five week shutdown, the last two FCC systems to reopen will be its Licensing and Management System (LMS) and Online Public Inspection File (OPIF) databases.

Both systems will reopen for filings on Tuesday, November 18. As the commission has already stated, additional guidances to be provided before Tuesday that will provide additional flexibility on filing deadlines for certain specific systems, matters, and programs. All parties are being notified to “refrain from submitting filings seeking additional relief from filing deadlines for the time being” and all STAs tht would have expired between October 1 and November 17 are extended at least until November 18 and further notification should come on Monday.
