Cox Media Group CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville morning hosts Dex & Barbie are expanding their show to Athens GA as it will debut in mornings on Cox CHR “Power 100.1” WPUP Watkinsville.
Hosts Dex Mitchell and Barbie T Whitmire are also heard in afternoons at Audacy CHR “B93.7” WFBC-FM Greenville SC. The duo were first paired together at SummitMedia Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.1” WHZT Greenville in 2017 where they were also syndicated internally to WKHT Knoxville, while Mitchell also hosted a separate morning show for KPHW Honolulu. They joined WAPE in February 2023.
Mitchell stated, “Its like Christmas came early for us and we are super pumped to be a part of their line up. They have such an amazing team of pros in the building! More stations coming in the new year? I hope so!”
