Dan Potter Exits Mornings At KRMG

Dan Potter 740 KRMG 102.3 KRMG-FM TulsaMorning host Dan Potter has exited Zoellner Media Group News/Talk 740 KRMG/102.3 KRMG-FM Tulsa after seventeen years at the station and thirteen in mornings.

Potter told the Tulsa World that his contract was not being renewed, “A week ago today, my show finished, and I went into a meeting that I thought was a contract negotiation, and I met Dr. Robert Zoellner for the first time. Our paths hadn’t crossed yet in his ownership. Shook his hand, sat down. He said, ‘We’re not renewing your contract.’ They handed me a check, and security showed me out of the building.”

Prior to joining KRMG in 2008, Potter spent eighteen years from 1988 to 2006 at 820 WBAP Dallas including time as News Director. He also has worked at multiple stations in the Quad Cities and Fort Wayne IN and has served as the in-stadium announcer for Drum Corps International since 2000 and hosts their podcast “DCI’s Field Pass”.
