After a little over two years as PD/morning co-host at Mel Wheeler Inc. CHR “K92” WXLK Roanoke VA, Chris Ryan is departing for a new position to be announced in the new year.
Ryan joined WXLK in September 2023 after previously hosting mornings at Audacy Hot AC “FM 100” WMC-FM Memphis from 2018 until the station’s sign-off in June 2023 under the name ‘Ryan Anderson’. He previously has served as PD/morning host at “Y103” WSOY Decatur IL, programmed “Hot 97.5” KKCT Bismarck ND, “Hits 100.7” WWHX Bloomington IL, “Hits 105.9” KZHZ Des Moines, and “Star 104” WRTS-FM Erie PA and as local Kidd Kraddick Morning Show producer for “Mix 96.5” KHMX Houston.
Monica Brooks and Antoine Terrell continue hosting “The Morning Thang” with Ryan’s departure. The station will begin the search for a new PD shortly.
