Bold Gold Media Group has closed on its $50,000 acquisition of 1270 WDLA and 92.1 WDLA-FM Walton NY from Townsquare Media and relaunched both stations.
92.1 WDLA-FM, which had been Country “Big Cat 92.1” simulcasting 95.3 WBKT Norwich until going silent at the end of 2024, is now simulcasting Country “Thunder 102” 102.1 WDNB Jeffersonville along with 102.9 WBMG Narrowsburg and 104.5 WHNB Hancock.
1270 WDLA, which previously was part of the News/Talk “CNY News” trimulcast until it was also shut down at the end of last year, has joined the “Catkills News Talk” network along with 1240 WVOS/92.5 W223DB Liberty and 94.9 W235AW Monticello.
General Manager Dawn Ciorciari said, “There is something truly special about turning the lights back on for a local radio station. We are beyond excited to bring local radio back to life for the people of Walton and Delaware County; to once again give this community a local voice, a source of connection, and radio stations they can call their own.
