Former Alpha Media Mason City IA News Director Bob Fisher is returning to the now-Connoisseur Media cluster.
Fisher spent nearly three decades at the cluster until Alpha’s staff purge in May 2024. He then joined Coloff Media’s stations in Mason City that August as News & Sports Director.
Now Fisher will return to serve as cluster News & Sports Director, hosting mornings on News/Talk 1300 KGLO, and provide newscasts across the cluster at 6am, 7am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 5pm. He will also continue to provide play-by-play for Clear Lake High School sports, whose broadcasts will return to Soft Oldies 1490/96.7 KRIB.
Fisher commented, “It’s great to be back to help re-establish KGLO as ‘Your Hometown News Station in North-Central Iowa’ as well as to continue to provide vital local information to our listeners. With their recent purchase of the radio stations, Connoisseur Media has shown a commitment to serving north-central Iowans with quality, local-based information.”
