Longtime Dallas morning personality Bo Roberts has exited iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Lonestar 92.5” KZPS in the company’s layoffs this week ending the long legacy of the “Bo & Jim Show” in the market.
Roberts began his career at KCIR Corsicana TX and then worked at WRNO New Orleans before being recruited by his former co-worker ‘Long Jim’ White to join Rock “Q102” KTXQ as midday host in 1982. He and White were quickly moved to mornings where they would remain until the station’s demise in 1997. They first joined KZPS as afternoon hosts in 1998 and remained until 2001. Roberts then would spend three years by himself in mornings at “93.3 The Bone” KDBN before he and White reunited to host mornings at KZPS. White retired from the show in July 2022 with it being renamed “Bo & Them”.
Roberts has not publicly commented on his exit, but tributes have come from current and former co-workers as well as listeners across the market.
Co-hosts Anna De Haro and Alan Ayo are now helming what is being branded on-air as “Lonestar Mornings”.
