Audacy Washington Extends Rights Deal With Monumental’s Sports & Entertainment

106.7 The Fan WJFK Washington DCAudacy and Monumental Sports & Entertainment have announced a multi-year extension of their broadcast rights deal adding expanded coverage for three franchises in Washington DC.

106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM Manassas VA/Washington will continue to serve as the primary station for the NHL’s Washington Capitals. The NBA’s Washington Wizards will now air on WJFK-FM when there is no overlap with the Capitals, otherwise their games will move to former flagship “The Team 980” WTEM and “Bloomberg 99.1” WDCH. The WNBA’s Washington Mystics will air on a combination of WJFK-FM, WTEM, WDCH, and Sports Betting “1580 The Bet” WJFK simulcasting the television broadcast.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s MNMT cable network (formerly NBC Sports Washington) will continue to air a video simulcast of WJFK’s “The Sports Junkies” morning show, but it will also be made available on 106.7 The Fan’s YouTube channel. MNMT will also begin simulcasting the station’s “BMitch and Finlay” midday show hosted by Brian Mitchell and JP Finlay from 10am to 2pm, which will also be seen on the Fan’s YouTube.
