Highway Vibe 99.7 KHYZ Mountain Pass Las Vegas 98.1 98.9The former “Highway Stations” covering Las Vegas and the I-15 and I-40 corridors in California’s High Desert are being acquired by Marco Mazzoli and Stefania Pittaluga’s ANCO Media Group.

ANCO Media Group, which owns Dance “Revolution 93.5” WBGF Belle Glade/WZFL Islamorada/W228BY Miami FL, will pay $1.4 million for Dance “Vibe 99.7” KHYZ Mountain Pass/Las Vegas, Hot AC “Vibe 98.1” KRXV Yermo/98.9 KHWY Essex and “Highway Country” 101.5 KIXF Baker/107.3 KIXW-FM Lenwood/Barstow from Richard Heftel’s Heftel Broadcasting Company. Heftel had acquired the stations out of a bankruptcy auction in 2017 for $620,000.

KHYZ covers much of Las Vegas proper thanks to its 170w/493m booster atop Arden Peak. The remainder of the signals made up the core of the former “Highway Stations” that were the primary in-car listening options between the Inland Empire and Las Vegas prior to satellite radio and streaming.

Not included in the deal are The Drive LLC’s recently relaunched Rock 96.9 KNAC Lenwood and 94.9 KHDR Baker CA, which Heftel holds a controlling 67.7% stake in. John Hearne’s Point Broadcasting owns the remaining 32.3 percent share.
