After nearly twelve years as Operations Manager at Cumulus Media Topeka KS, Amber Lee has exited as her position was eliminated.
Lee joined Cumulus Topeka in January 2014 where she also served as PD/afternoon host at AC “Majic 107.7” KMAJ-FM. At the start of this year Lee also added PD duties for CHR “107.3 The Vibe” KMJK Kansas City. She previously served as Operations Manager for Great Plains Media’s Lawrence KS cluster from 2009-13 and has held roles as morning co-host at KMXL and KSYN Joplin MO and KAWO Boise ID.
Lee wrote, “I’ve been promoted to radio listener. After 11yrs and 11mos my position with Cumulus was eliminated. (11, 11… should I make a wish?) According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median tenure for professionals in radio broadcasting is 3.8 years. So, reaching almost 12 years with a single employer is a remarkable feat in media. If you’ve listened, commented on social, came to an event, played a contest, or even waved at me while I was driving that huge van, thank you for engaging
The state of radio today can be hard to love. What’s next for me? TBD”
