Alex Duffy and Emma Jones are reuniting on Nation Radio Yorkshire this weekend.
The duo return to Yorkshire radio tomorrow, Saturday 20 September, following their former breakfast show on Viking FM.
Listeners had urged Alex to bring Emma back on the airwaves, and Nation Radio Yorkshire has confirmed the pair will front a new Saturday morning show together.
Alex has been hosting the weekday breakfast show on the station since June, while Emma combines her radio work with television presenting.
Alex said: “We’ve stayed close friends, so it’s a good excuse to have a weekly catch up with each other and our extended listening family.”
Emma added: “I’m so excited to be reuniting with Alex and broadcasting to the best county in the world! I love how Nation Radio Yorkshire resonates with listeners, and I can’t wait to be part of the team.”
Helen Nolan, Commercial Director at Nation Radio Yorkshire, noted that audience numbers had already risen since Alex joined the station. “Our audience on streamed devices has already increased 30% since Alex joined us. We are expecting further audience growth when Emma joins us to bring some fun to Saturday mornings in Yorkshire.”
Neil Greenslade, Group Programme Director at Nation, said the duo’s partnership would be a strong addition to the station. “Alex and Emma have such a natural chemistry and I can’t wait to hear them bring the fun and engaging content to Nation Radio Yorkshire every week.”
The reunion marks Emma’s return to the station where her radio career first began.
