GTN UK’s long-serving Chief Operating Officer John Quinn is set to step down on 28 February next year.
Tim McCabe will become Managing Director from 24 December, with both working together over the coming weeks to ensure continuity across the company’s radio travel news and advertising operations.
John joined the business in 2009 after GTN acquired UBC Media’s commercial division and has been a central figure in running UK operations.
The company says he leaves after more than three decades in the radio and media industry and has helped shape GTN’s development through his knowledge of the commercial radio sector.
In a statement, GTN thanked John for his contribution and wished him well for the future.
Tim is already well established within the organisation and brings detailed understanding of its UK activity. GTN says his industry experience and close involvement in the business make him well placed to lead the next phase of its work with radio groups and advertisers.
The company added that it looks forward to working with Tim as he takes on the role and continues to deliver advertising solutions across the UK.
