A pair of hosts have exited the statewide Wisconsin Liberal Talk network at Civic Media.
Todd Allbaugh, who hosted from 2-4pm, and 4-6pm host Maggie Daun have both exited the network. Allbaugh joined the network with their acquisition of WRCO Richland Center WI in 2022 where he spent 17 years and joined the statewide lineup in early 2024. Daun, who also served as General Counsel for Civic Media, had hosted from 6-7pm before moving up to 2-4pm in February 2024. She previously help roles as Corporation Counsel for Milwaukee County, congressional staffer and federal appeals court clerk.
Allbaugh shared a video earlier this week that he was let go for budgetary reasons and “the long term financial viability of the company.” He noted he was cut last Thursday, but allowed to do a final show on Friday.
Northpine reports that WMDX Madison morning hosts John Peterson and Gordy Young are currently pulling double-duty hosting 6-8am in Madison and 2-5pm across the company’s Liberal Talk stations statewide. “Nite Lite with Pete Schwaba” has moved up one hour to start at 5pm.
