Station Sales Week Of 11/21

Star 92.7 KZSQ-FM SonoraRandolph Holder Jr.’s Clarke Broadcasting Corporation is selling Classic Hits “Star 92.7” KZSQ-FM Sonora, “Country 93.5” KKBN Twain Harte, and News/Talk 1450 KVML/102.7 K274CG Sonora CA to Jason Banks’ Mountain OmniMedia for $1.8 million. Banks began operating the stations and the company’s MyMotherLode.com news platform via Time Brokerage Agreement on November 1.

Following the announcement back in February that The Carlos Moncada led MLC Media and Jose M. Villafañe’s Nueva Network and Costa Media would merge under the name De Novo One Media Group but operating with the Nueva Network brand, the station license transfer has been filed with the FCC. Costa Media Boston LLC will transfer Spanish CHR “Que Onnda” 1490 WCCM/103.7 W279CH Haverhill MA and Regional Mexican “La Pantera” 1220 WFAX/100.7 W264DB Falls Church VA to North Atlantic Media Inc. Villafane will own 30% of the assets, but have 65% voting control of the licensee with Moncada owning 60% equity and 30% voting control. The deal is being valued a $2.5 million.

Translator Sales

iHeartMedia sells Silent 94.9 W235BA Williamsport PA to Vic Michael’s Mountain Community Translators for $10. W235BA went silent in July when iHeart noted that its landlord has withdrawn availability of the transmitter site. At that time the station’s “Rock 94.9” programming moved to 95.5 WBYL Salladasburg. Michael will utilize the translator to rebroadcast 1380 WMLP Milton, which is currently part of the “Twin Valley’s Talk Network” along with 94.5 W233CP Milton, 1340 WWPA/101.7 W269DX Williamsport, and 105.1 WILQ-HD3 Williamsport.
