Midwest Communications is swapping frequencies at two of its Sioux Falls SD stations on Monday, November 3.
101.9 KELO-FM Sioux Falls will move to 95.7 coinciding with its annual move to Christmas music for the holiday season. In return, “Q95.7” KQSF Dell Rapids will become “Q101.9“.
The moves will see the stations return to their heritage formats. KELO-FM had been the primary AC in the market until shifting towards Hot AC the past few years. Following the demise of Westwood One’s syndicated “Hits Now” CHR format earlier this year, KQSF had begun running its Adult Contemporary network.
The move marks KELO-FM’s second downgrade in its history. The station moved from the 100kW Class C 92.5 in October 2013 to its current Class C2 home. The move to 95.7 will place the brand on a 25kW/100m Class C3 signal.
