
Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of Zoltan Csanyi-Salcedo as News Director for News/Talk 770 KKOB/96.3 KKOB-FM Albuquerque.
Csanyi-Salcedo will oversee news content strategy, newsroom operations, and talent development for the station. He most recently was News Director at KRGV-TV Harlingen TX and has also held roles at television stations in El Paso, Dallas, and Tyler/Longview TX and spent two years as a Coordinating Producer for ESPN. Csanyi-Salcedo began his career in radio at a Spanish station in Albuquerque in 1977 as a teenager and also worked in radio in Las Cruces, Belen and El Paso prior to moving to television in 1990.
He stated, “KKOB has always been a trusted voice for New Mexico, and my mission is to strengthen that trust every day. This newsroom will focus on local truth first — fast, fair, and useful information that helps our audience make sense of what’s happening in their communities.”
