K100 Toledo Makes Lineup Changes

K100 Toledo 99.9 WKKOCumulus Media Country “K100” 99.9 WKKO Toledo OH has revamped its on-air lineup.

Midday host ‘Johny D’ moves up to mornings to join incumbent co-host Lyn Cayse. The Toledo native has worked at multiple stations in the market during his career with multiple stints at Classic Hits 93.5 WRQN where he is also heard in afternoons along with long runs at CHRs “92.5 Kiss-FM” WVKS and “Tower 98” WTWR along with time at WKRK-FM Detroit, WZJM Cleveland, and stations in Houston and Tampa.

Replacing him in middays is Cliff Smithers as he begins his third tenure with the cluster. Smithers first worked at the company from 1990 to 2011 where hosted afternoons at WKKO from 1999 to 2011. He would later return to co-host mornings with Cayse at WRQN before the duo moved to WKKO in December 2018 until his exit in June 2022.

With the moves, previous morning host Marco has exited. Marco replaced Smithers in June 2022 after previously hosting mornings at stations including “Energy 106.9” WNRG-FM Milwaukee, 97.5 WKMZ Hagerstown MD, “93.1 Jamz” WJQM Madison, and “Click 98.9” KLCK Seattle.
