Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX Boston has tabbed Kira Lew as its new midday host.
Lew, who began her radio career as the “Director of First Impressions” at then CBS Radio Boston, had exited mornings at Townsquare Media Country 97.5 WOKQ Portsmouth NH in July to relocate back to Boston for her husband’s work. She had spent nine years in mornings on WOKQ with time alongside Bill Fox, Chio Acosta, and most recently Logan Sherwood. She also had a brief stint at Townsquare AC 94.9 WHOM Portland ME.
Lew commented, “Everyday I watched some of the greatest radio personalities walk through these doors, headphones in hand, ready to entertain and inform the fine people of Boston. This week, I got to be the one behind the mic. It’s hard to articulate what this opportunity means to me. Thank you to Mike Mullaney and Steve Salhany for believing that there is space for my preggo a** at this winning station. I am having the most fun and still can’t believe I get to do this.”
Lew fills the midday opening created by Erin O’Malley’s exit in Audacy’s March layoffs.
