CJ Country 1140 WCJW WarsawTom and Desire Hoyt’s WCJW LLC acquires Lloyd Lane Inc.’s Country “CJ Country” 1140 WCJW Warsaw NY and its network of six translators covering the area between Buffalo and Rochester: 100.9 W265DQ Alden, 100.9 W265BX Geneseo, 103.7 W279BO Warsaw, 104.3 W282BQ Avon, 105.5 W288BZ Batavia, and 104.9 W285EZ Arcade for $750,000. The Hoyt’s also own Christian Preaching “Pure Radio” 1600 WZZW Milton WV which also airs on translators in Louisville KY and Evansville IN.

Kelli Corbeil’s Four Seasons Media sells Hot AC 96.7 WTSA-FM and Classic Rock “99.5 The Beast” 1450 WTSA/99.5 W258DW Brattleboro VT to Jared Goodell’s Community Media for $500,000. Corbeil will remain with the stations as General Manager for a year after closing with a $100,000 salary. Goodell previously held on-air and sales roles at Saga Communications’ in Brattleboro and Keene and Manchester NH between 2011 and 2016 and later served as Operations Manager for the syndicated Howie Carr Show as well as weekend host on WRKO Boston.

Melba McCollum sells Christian “Crossroads” 1450 KLMX/104.5 K283CV and Country/Classic Rock “97.5 The Bear” KLMX-FM Clayton NM to David Daney Jr. and Anna Haisten’s Rabbit Ear Media & Print for $264,000. The buyers are husband and wife who both work at the station with Haisten serving as General Manager and Daney anchoring high school football and basketball broadcasts.

Steven and Jill Wheeler sell Classic Rock 92.9 KKID Salem MO to Brett Gromowski’s KKID LLC for $500,000.

Santa Cruz Educational Broadcasting Foundation donates 89.9 KFER Santa Cruz CA donates ti the Bill Battles led Vida Vale Vivir Inc. for no consideration. Aware FM also donates 91.3 KZBV Carmel Valley and 91.7 K219LL Chualar CA to Vida Vale Vivir. Both donors are led by family members of the late Carl Auel. Both KFER and KZBV operate as Christian AC “Aware-FM“.

Albright College sells student-run 91.3 WXAC Reading PA to Centro Hispano Daniel Torres in exchange for five 30 second underwriting announcements per day for five years and for up to ten students per semester to make use of the station facilities for five years.

Translator Sales

After selling Variety Hits “Max 98.3” WWRZ Fort Meade/Lakeland FL to Radio Training Network in July, Hall Communications is now purchasing RTN’s 95.9 W240DB Lakeland for $225,000. Hall will utilize W240DB to rebroadcast “Fox Sports Lakeland” 1230 WONN, which is also currently heard on 107.1 W296CS Lakeland via WWRZ-HD2.
