The Milwaukee Radio Alliance has sold Silent 1290 WZTI Greenfield and Country “Froggy MKE” 100.3 W262CJ Milwaukee/107.3 W297BY Franklin WI to Civic Media for $465,000.
WZTI had been operating as Oldies “Fonz” until its transmitter site was damaged by floods last month. The translators currently rebroadcast 93.3 WLDB-HD3, but the deal states that they will switch back to rebroadcasting WZTI.
Civic Media owns two other stations in the Milwaukee market in Liberal Talk 540 WAUK Jackson/101.1 W266BR Waukesha and Oldies 1400 WRJN/99.9 W260CV Racine and 98.1 W251BU Kenosha.
The sale completes the divestiture of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance, a 50/50 partnership of All Pro Broadcasting and Times-Shamrock, following their $4 million sale of AC “B93.3” WLDB and Alternative “FM 102.1” WLUM-FM to K-Love Inc. last month.
