Rewind 98.9 99.1 WWRW Big RapidsAhead of its sign-on, Smile FM sells the CP of 98.9 WWRW Big Rapids Township MI to Jeffrey Scarpelli’s Mentor Partners in exchange for 99.1 W256CC Big Rapids and $108,642. W256CC, which has a CP to relocate to 95.1 in order to allow WWRW to sign-on ahead of its own CP expiration deadline of September 30, currently operates as Classic Hits “Rewind 99.1” via WWBR-HD2. The brand is already promoting its move to 98.9.

Magnum Broadcasting expands its Key West cluster with the purchase of Yacht Rock “Key 93.7” WKEY-FM Key West from Buddy Shula’s Radio One Key West for $250,000. Magnum has operated WKEY-FM since 2023 via LMA. It will join a cluster that includes Conservative Talk “Keys News Talk” 1300 WFFG Key West/96.9 WKEZ-FM Tavernier/102.5 WPIK Summerland Key, Dance “Party 105.7” WGAY Sugarloaf Key and Silent 94.3 WGMX Marathon.

Spoon River Media purchases 1350 WOAM Tremont IL and translators 92.9 W225DC and 107.5 W298BH Peoria from American Educational Foundation for $65,000. The buyer owns five other stations across Illinois and Indiana including two in Canton IL west of Peoria.

After taking the station silent in May following the retirement of its instructor, Des Moines Independent School District sells the former “Edge 88.1” KDPS Des Moines IA to Bott Radio’s Community Broadcasting Inc. for $175,000.

Translator Sales

Ondas de Vida donates 98.7 K254CB Prescott AZ back to Advance Ministries for no consideration. Advance traded the translator to Ondas de Vida in May 2024 for the CP for what is now 88.1 KTHO Dewey-Humboldt. The translator will now rebroadcast KTHO-HD2.
