Val Steele Exits KFLY/KDUK

Valerie Steele US 101 101.5 KFLY Eugene 104.7 KDUKAfter 31 years at Bicoastal Media’s Eugene OR cluster, Val Steele exited the cluster last week.

Steele had been serving as Operations Manager/PD/afternoon host for Country “US 101” KFLY and OM of CHR 104.7 KDUK. She originally joined KDUK in 1994 hosting weekend overnights and rose through the ranks to Promotions Director Music Director, and then Program Director in 2001. She gave up the programming duties at KDUK in 2020 to move over to co-owned KFLY.

Steele told RAMP, “While I’m certainly sad to see this chapter end in such a way, I remain deeply grateful for the work I’ve been able to do and for the listeners and community that I love so much.
