‘John Patrick’ Golobish’s JetStream Media has begun operating Boll Weevil Communications Classic Hits “Z101” WZTZ Elba AL and has relaunched the station as “Retro FM 101.1“.
Operating via LMA ahead of a planned sale filing, the station will begin carrying Bob & Sheri in mornings on September 1 along with Elba High School football. The station focuses on music from the 1980s through 2000s positioning as “South Alabama’s Retro Hits”.
Golobish also operates the “Retro-FM” brand on 102.1 WJST Sylvester/Albany GA. He is a broadcast veteran who worked in radio in multiple Pennsylvania markets earlier in his career. From 2005 until acquiring WJST, he was a meteorologist at WZVN-TV Fort Myers FL under the ‘John Patrick‘ air name.
