Dick Broadcasting has shifted Classic Hip Hop “G100” WXYY Rincon/Savannah GA to Rhythmic CHR.
Now positioning as “Savannah’s Hip Hop and Throwback Station”, the move places WXYY in more direct competition with Cumulus Media’s Hip Hop “E93” WEAS-FM and iHeartMedia’s “94.1 The Beat” WQBT. The music shift also comes with a morning show change as the station adds Compass Media Networks’ “DeDe in The Morning” to replace “Brooke & Jeffrey”.
WXYY ranked thirteenth in the Savannah market with a 2.6 share in the Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings. WEAS-FM was second with a 7.2 share, while WQBT was right behind in third with a 6.9 share.
